Owner Services is excited to announce the launch of our new SharePoint based KnowledgeBase, Compass! It will house all Marriott Vacations Worldwide Owner and Member Services information. Marriott Rewards and Marriott Hotel information will remain in MySource. Training on the new site will begin December 7th so make sure you attend to get all the details of this exciting new platform.

A compass is an indispensable tool when you are in unfamiliar territory, or when you're trying to re-orient yourself. We wanted our new program to act in much the same way. In developing Compass we first gathered feedback from several groups throughout Owner and Member Services. We wanted to know what they liked about our current program and what they would like to see changed or added. We wanted to be sure that it met the needs of those that will use it most, both newly hired associates and more seasoned advisors.

A lot of the feedback we received was regarding the Search function. We know that most of your time spent online involves a search engine and we wanted ours to be the best way to find something quickly. The search in Compass is improved in every way, from the ability to search multiple word phrases down to individual pages and documents, to the preview option in your search results that allowed you to view the page before clicking; you will find what you are looking for more easily than ever before.

We received some very specific requests regarding the content and organization of Compass, and we've been able to implement most of them. The look of Compass is much cleaner and less text-heavy and no page should take you more than 2-3 clicks to find. We've also added 'breadcrumbs' to let your know where the page you’re on is located, and the date it was last updated.

We are hoping that all of these improvements will make Compass the easy navigational tool its name suggests, but we aren't finished getting feedback. The content in Compass will be continually updated an improved by the Talent Development Team at Owner Services in Salt Lake City and we want to know what you think. At the bottom of each page is a link to email the team with any suggestion you have.

Together, we can ensure Compass is a great tool to help Owner and Member Services make vacation dreams come true!
