Health Initiative

At Marriott Vacation Club, we are dedicated to the well-being of our associates and we take initiatives to make sure that our co-workers can benefit from that dedication. These initiatives range from having associates keep track of their weight over the holidays to providing online resources with fitness and health advice.

In autumn of 2014, a resort experience was unveiled at several of our resorts to get our Owners participating in wellness related activities. This new offering is called clubTHRIVESM and is designed as a way to break the stress of the daily lives of our Owners and facilitate a relaxing and invigorating vacation experience. The voluntary program is divided into four unique elements that are customizable to the desires of our diverse array of Owners.

  • Refuel
    Provides food and beverage choices that are well balanced and focused on nutrition. At the launch event at Marriott’s Shadow Ridge, this included food samplings that could be prepared directly in the villa!
  • Renew
    Owners can achieve a relaxed mindset through physical and sensory experiences. At the launch events, this included a relaxing stretch in the open air.
  • Move
    Cardio, strength and toning programs designed to be more fun than a typical gym workout. This included instructor-led classes from aqua fit in the resort pools at Shadow Ridge and Grande Ocean.
  • Explore
    Educational, healthy and unique experiences which can help Owners experience the local area. The launch event at Marriott’s Grande Ocean included a 5k along their picturesque beach.

Throughout 2015, more clubTHRIVESM offerings will be rolled out worldwide.
