Dear %%LABELNAME%%, The government of the United States Virgin Islands ("USVI") has posted the 2013 property tax bills on-line for "owners of record as of January 1, 2013." Some owners may have already received their tax bills from the USVI. In the interest of allowing members to take advantage of early payment discounts offered by the USVI, we are sending this message to all owners with instructions on how to look up their interest [unit/week] on the USVI Assessor's webpage. If payment is received by October 6th, the discount is 5%. There will be no other discounts offered. Late fees may apply to payments made after December 6th, 2014. A Tax Calculation Summary Page ("Summary"), which is a statement of property taxes due for each unit type, will be forwarded to you after we have received the property tax file from the USVI. You will receive this Summary even if you have already paid your property taxes. The Summary may serve as your property tax bill in the event you did not receive a bill from the Assessor; therefore, you may use the Summary to pay your property taxes. The Assessor has indicated that 2013 property tax information will be available on their website on or around September 9th. To look up your account, follow these steps: Go to: http://public.usvi.cavucorp.com/logon.htm Click on “Search the Property Tax Data Base” On the left side of page click on “Tax Bill Search” You may search either by Parcel Number, if you know it, or by Last Name The results will list all years of your account, look for 2013 on the left and click the Account # to the right of your parcel number Payments can be made by check (made payable to the "Government of the USVI") or by credit card (Visa, MC only – form attached). You cannot pay by telephone or on-line. Mail payments to Tax Collector, No. 5049 Kongens Gade #18, St. Thomas, USVI 00802-6487. Be sure to include your parcel number on your check or on the credit card form ("Apply Amount to:" line). Postmark dates will be honored.
